ZARIFE LINHARES

Zarife Linhares, an artist originally from Pará, currently resides in Mato Grosso do Sul. Her childhood home along the banks of the Tapajós River fostered a deep connection with nature, transforming her into a passionate tree planter who has nurtured the growth of hundreds of trees.

With more than 30 years of experience as an artisan, her artistic calling has remained unwavering, as she has never aspired to pursue any other occupation. Despite the challenges of establishing a stable income, it was during a time of crisis that this resilient, intuitive, and spiritually-driven woman devoted herself wholeheartedly to her craft, employing predominantly natural materials such as wood, seeds, and fibers.

Zarife's creative process is guided by intuition, eschewing preconceived designs to allow the piece to evolve organically.
